Possible Coaching Career for Jason Gillespie

Jason Gillespie, now 32, would still love to see the grey topped with a baggy green, but not enough to do so at the expense of the younger brigade of quicks he admires.

“I’d still like to play for my country, there’s no doubt about that, but if I’m playing for Australia it means we’ve had fast bowlers get injured or lose their form dramatically. So, as a cricket fan, I don’t want that to happen,” Gillespie said.

“I’ve always said no but the last few months I’ve been thinking about it more and I’m actually going to get a level-three coaching certificate,” he said. “I’ve got some real ideas on how to help bowlers reach their potential.” Said Gillespie at Wollongong yesterday.
