A man accused of assaulting former Test cricketer Jason Gillespie has been remanded in custody.
Twenty-nine-year-old Matthew Zaffina, from Morwell in Victoria, was charged with recklessly causing injury and unlawful assault after punching Gillespie outside a Traralgon nightclub in Gippsland on Saturday night.
Zaffina has appeared in the Latrobe Valley Magistrates’ Court in Morwell.
